Unable to verify driver digital signature (error code 52)

An inscription stating that it is not possible to verify the digital signature of the driver may appear in the device manager. This is usually accompanied by a yellow triangle next to the name of the hardware, the message also says that malware was installed, a corrupted or incorrectly signed file, error code 52.

When any of the elements of your computer is not working properly, open Device Manager . If there is indeed a “!” in a yellow triangle and a message stating that this is error 52, the driver needs to be reinstalled.

It is unlikely that it will be possible to do this automatically, the system will most likely say that the latest version is installed and this software does not need to be updated. You need to find the driver on the website of the hardware manufacturer and download it to your computer. If you are in doubt whether you have chosen the correct file, look for the driver by ID .

In Device Manager, double-click on the line with the name of the problematic hardware. In the Properties window, select the Driver tab and click Update . Then you need to select search and install the driver manually . Click Browse, set the path to the folder where you saved the driver, and install it.

If you still receive a message that the digital signature of the driver cannot be verified, then the problem is most likely with the operating system. Roll it back to a checkpoint created before the hardware problem occurred. If not, you may need to reinstall Windows .
